In Motion
In Motion has more than doubled in enrollment since its inception in the Summer of 2000. We are pleased to host qualified and experienced instructors. The studio can be found on outer Arsenal St. (NYS Rt. 3) and shares a parking lot with the Cheese Store. Parking is available on both sides of our building. In Motion offers classes in two spacious dance studios, over 900 sq. ft. each! In December 2006, the dance school staged and choreographed its own rendition of The Nutcracker. The production continues to expand on the stage and in the audience as it becomes a North Country tradition. In 2011, the ballet looks to become a part of the Yellow Ribbon Events that take place across the area, offering a military discount on ticket sales. We strive to continue to be the area's best choice for dance education, making improvements to our studio, our curriculums, our productions, and so much more!

Shereen brings a wealth of experience and education to her classroom. Always striving to learn more and be the student, Shereen is continually looking for opportunities to take classes. She travels from SUNY Potsdam's campus, Syracuse and to NYC taking classes, workshops, and intensives for teachers. Shereen feels it is important to continue to get in the classroom as a student in order to better serve as an instructor.
Tricia has been a great asset to In Motion. She brings a great deal of expertise to the studio as well as a warm and loving approach to teaching. Tricia is a graduate from SUNY Potsdam with degrees in Dance and Elementary Education. She also has a Master's Degree in Reading. She is currently on staff at the dance school but keeps busy as a Reading Specialist at Indian River Middle School.
One of our newest faculty members is Allison Bowman. We are very excited about having her on board! Allison has a BS in Hospitality Management from the University of South Carolina but brings a lot of dance experience to the table.
Lauren Cozza is excited to be a part of the In Motion School of Dance. Lauren grew up in Ridgewood, NJ and studied and competed with the "In the Spotlight" company. She then went to The University of the Arts in Philadelphia,
Allison grew up taking dance classes locally, always attending workshops whenever possible. She came to In Motion during the '07-'08 season participating in ballet and pointe classes. She has danced in the In Motion production of The Nutcracker as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, and was the lead Flower in Waltz of the Flowers – all danced en pointe.
Tracy comes to us from Johnson City. She began dancing as many of our own students do as a pre-school student. At the age of 9, she began competition dance. It wasn't long before Tracy found herself dancing
